This helped me see my situation with my husband in a different light. He is the little boy thrashing about, running from God 100 miles an hour in the wrong direction, choosing to leave instead of get the help he needs. God is my Father and I am the bride of Christ – these two phrases take on new meaning now with only me & our children in the house. He gives us “daily bread.” Thank you for the post to keep me humble & focused on my own sin & God’s redeeming love through His only Son, our Lord Jesus.

Thank you for sharing your journey, Linda. It is heartbreaking to watch your beloved become so lost in their addiction and in reality, lost in their deep heart issues that keep them captive in sin. Praise God that your husband is doing better and that you finally found someone who could truly help you. It is a long journey back, but it is worth it. Your willingness to stay with your man even when you could not trust him is a testament to your faith. Certainly…there will be many woman the Lord will bring across your path who who need to hear those true and steady words, who will need to know the place she can find hope and security when all is shaking around her.
I appreciate you sharing your story with me. I appreciate your encouragement.
Please, continue to pray for me as I reach out to the wounded and weary and help equip women to walk alongside other women.
