Move or move me!

Are you still on board?
Or have you jumped ship?

Are you still pressing in- still asking, desiring to see God move, answer, bring relief…

something –

“God, I need you to move or move me.”

trusting, praying, praying some more, pressing in, laying your requests before God – it isn’t a way to manipulate…

its a way to be laid out before God and its a way to plead, desperate and sincere cries, realizing that you need Him in every single way, you need Him.

You’ve got things that can make you come unglued.

You’ve got issues that are unsettling and mountains that seem immoveable.

So you can give up and believe that it won’t do any good. OR you can continue on – even when you aren’t seeing changes or relief or anything different…

even when things seem to be getting worse (remember there is an enemy in the equation)

even when you aren’t so certain God’s love is for you, for real or even worth it…

It’s OK…He can handle your doubt.

But I encourage you to keep on- keep pressing on – keep slumping at His door – waiting.

He’s not going to be silent forever. And perhaps His silence is an answer.

Perhaps you are thinking you need to go down a different path – that something drastic needs to change when all He asking you to do is to stay the course…

and keep moving…keep going…stay there – slumped by the door if you have to …

It’s not the time to give up or give in.

It’s time to press in and on and ask for a measure of faith and a measure of hope.

God isn’t interested in making you so despairing that you give up.

And He isn’t attempting to make you so crazy with confusion that you throw your hands up in surrender…although the surrender part is good – but He’s not about chaos, but rather order and maybe, just maybe you’ve been so busy attempting to order ¬†your life, direct it, control it that you haven’t sat still long enough to see just how you might be exactly where He wants you – at least at this moment.

So, keep going. Stay the course.

Remain in Him – abide – reside next to – remain in the care of – rest in the place He has you.

If He wants you to move – He’ll show you.

If He wants those mountains moved, He’ll move them.

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. Romans. 15:13

May friendship, encouragement and grace abound!
